Hirosha Geekiyanage conducted her graduate research on miRNA regulation at Michigan State University and continued to study miRNA biology as a post-doctoral trainee at Mayo Clinic and University of Massachusetts, Chan Medical School. As an assistant professor at University of California, Merced she is extending her research to understand miRNA regulation in the context of their fundamental properties and their contribution to disease pathologies, diagnosis and treatments.
